Using AI-Powered Coaching to Support Women Taking GLP-1 Medication
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way we live and work. From self-driving cars to facial recognition software, AI is already having a major impact on all aspects of our lives, and it's only going to become more prevalent in the years to come.
One area where AI is expected to have a significant impact is healthcare. AI-powered tools can help doctors diagnose diseases, develop new treatments, and provide personalized care plans.
At TriadHLTH, we’re balancing AI with our human-powered approach to coaching. We use AI to enhance our HLTHYher program by providing members with personalized insights, feedback, and recommendations.
Here are just a few ways we use AI to help our coaches and members:
Personalized insights: We know that no two women are alike, even if they join HLTHYher with the same goals! That’s why it’s so crucial to personalize the experience of each member; what works for one person may not work for another. We use AI to analyze a member’s data, looking for patterns and trends. This information can then be used to provide personalized insights and recommendations. For example, AI could identify a pattern in a member’s sleep habits and adjust their learning content to focus on healthy sleep hygiene. Or, AI might find a trend in medication side effects and flag that information for the coach to address in their next one-on-one coaching call with the member.
Real-time feedback: Part of learning and growing is making adjustments as we go; with behavior change, it’s rare to get things right on the first try! We use AI to help members make small changes to their daily habits by providing them with real-time feedback. This information can help members stay on track and make those key adjustments that will lead to sustainable behavior change.
Automated tasks: We use AI to automate several of the tasks typically associated with digital health coaching. This frees up our coaches to focus on connecting with members and engaging them in powerful change conversations. For example, AI can track a member’s progress and send them automated reminders.
Virtual coaching: At TriadHLTH, we firmly believe in the power of human coaching. We know that AI can’t replace a coach. Instead, we think of AI as an “assistant coach.” We use AI to create virtual coaching and learning experiences tailored to each member’s individual needs. These experiences can include interactive quizzes, responsive reflection prompts for journaling, and other engaging activities. For example, we use AI to provide members with a virtual coach (available 24/7!) that can answer questions, share resources, and provide support.
By leveraging the power of AI, our HLTHYher coaches provide members with a more personalized and impactful experience. This leads to better outcomes for members and a more engaging experience for coaches.
